SKINCARE | TOP 5 MASKS

1 Oct 2014

I have acne prone, oily, problematic, unpredictable skin. Its very annoying but through hours of trailing blogs, youtube, instagram, speaking to doctors I'm finding products that seem to help. A common ingredient in these masks is kaolin. I love kaolin. I can almost instantly tell if I'm going to like a mask or not by the ingredient list and by its texture.

These masks are quite thick in consistency but are very effective once applied to the face. I try to use them 2-3 times a week (trust me its needed). I have a facial steamer so I'll sit in front of it for 10 minutes or so (on a CLEAN face, don't do this with a full face of makeup on) and I'll apply whichever mask I feel will do the job that day, let the mask sit for specified time and rinse off.

My absolute favourite is the Origins Clear Improvement mask - retails between £18-£22. Pricey but it lasts a long time and if my skin is really irritated or I'm having a real 'dot to dot' situation I can put this mask on and my skin always looks better after. I'm always looking at masks but nothing has topped the results from the Origins mask.
